Christian and Viviana’s love story began one warm evening in Jacksonville, Florida. They were both out to dinner with mutual friends when Viviana took the seat next to Christian. Their conversation was natural and easy, sparking a connection Christian couldn’t ignore. Viviana, however, was in no rush to date, so their relationship blossomed slowly over casual phone calls. But Christian’s persistence and gentle warmth began to chip away at her reservations, and one day, she agreed to meet him again. Determined to capture her heart, Christian took her hand—and sealed their fate with a tender kiss. From that moment on, they began seeing each other regularly, building a relationship grounded in their shared faith and a trust they placed in each other and in Christ. As the months passed, Christian’s love for Viviana only deepened, but he knew that winning her heart was only the beginning. He wanted to earn the trust and affection of her two daughters, Leah and Neala. During a college visit to FSU, Leah quietly nudged her mom, encouraging her with a smile and a sweet phrase in Spanish, “Dale una oportunidad al niño”—“Give the kid a chance.” Her daughters’ support meant the world to Viviana, and with their blessing, Christian and Viviana’s connection grew even stronger as they began to dream about a future together. With his heart set on a life with Viviana, Christian traveled to Ecuador to meet her family and seek their blessing for marriage. He arrived with a heartfelt letter in Spanish, expressing his love and dedication to Viviana and his dreams for their life together. Touched by his sincerity, Viviana’s parents welcomed Christian with open arms, blessing their union. Shortly afterward, Christian planned an intimate evening, taking Viviana to a candlelit dinner followed by a moonlit stroll along the beach, where he got down on one knee and proposed. Her family celebrated their engagement with a beautiful party, blessing the rings and toasting to their love. Though the pandemic altered their plans, Christian and Viviana held a small, heartfelt ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee, surrounded by family, with dreams of celebrating their wedding with everyone one day soon. Not long after, life took them on a new adventure as Christian matched into a Family Medicine residency in Greenville, South Carolina, and they moved from Jacksonville. Despite the challenges of residency and the long hours, their love continued to deepen. Their joy grew even more when they welcomed their son, Christian Nickolas Crowe Jr. (Nicko), into the world on November 5, 2021, a moment made all the more special as Christian, now a physician, was able to deliver his own son. Today, after all these beautiful twists and turns, Christian and Viviana are overjoyed to finally celebrate this precious day with their loved ones, fulfilling the dream they held onto throughout their journey together.
