Question

What's the weather like in Cali?

Answer

It is warm, approximately 76-86° year round. Ladies, A light shawl might be needed.

Question

What is the currency exchange?

Answer

We encourage to get cash from an ATM in your hotel in Cali,. Most business's accept international credit cards (Visa or Mastercard), please note there may be a foreign transaction fee based on your credit card. The exchange rate highly benefits the American Tourist; 4,000 Colombian Pesos (COP) is approximately equivalent to 1 USD (4:1 ratio).

Question

How safe is it?

Answer

We know some of you watched Narcos and Griselda, some others may have heard stories about the Colombian Cartels, so YES!, it all happened in the 1980's! But it's a whole new world now. Just imagine if you watched The Sopranos and became terrified to visit NYC! The UN just announced their annual meeting in Cali, Colombia on October 21, so we feel really confident saying it's absolutely safe, but if you still doubt us, we are sure you won't question the UN. You will be in a foreign country, so be aware of your surroundings just like visiting a new big city like NYC , ATL , MIA.... Please feel free to ask Andres or Vivian for tourist recommendations, or try The Intercontinental, they have a great concierge team, and private taxis, so feel free to plan through them as well. The most dangerous thing that could happen, is that you'll have so much fun and will want to stay!!!! Pack your bags, open up your brains and learn from this exciting new adventure!!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The Welcome Event is casual, jeans or pants, shirt or t-shirt are completely fine. We suggest comfortable shoes, remember you'll be in a Moving Colombian Party Bus "Chiva", so be prepared to dance....A LOT. The wedding is a formal event but if you're feeling fancy, black tie is encouraged. It will be outdoors, grass maybe soft, reconsider a stiletto! The temperature at the farm can get in the low 70's at night, we suggest a shawl just in case.

Question

How are Latino weddings? how long does it last?

Answer

By now, all of you know Andres and Vivian love to dance, so please wear your most comfortable fancy shoes. The wedding doesn't have an exact END time, most weddings keep going until the sun comes up. But for those who didn't pace themselves, we will provide shuttles back to the Intercontinental (every hour) starting at midnight.

For all the days along the way
