We’re Getting Married!

It was a Friday in September of 2017. Nadia was a Junior at Texas Tech and Christian was a Senior at Oklahoma State about to graduate. That day, on a whim, Christian and his friend, Dylan Schmidt, decided to drive down to Lubbock, TX to visit Cristian Giron and Andrew, Christian’s brother, for the TTU - OSU football game. That night, everyone ended up at Fuzzy's, being it was the hangout spot. There, Cristian Giron introduced Nadia and Christian to each other not thinking twice about what would come. The next morning, Nadia was opening the bar when Christian, Giron, and Dylan walked in to "help open the bar". Nadia and Christian instantly hit it off and the rest is history.

They were in Cabo for vacation when Christian told Nadia he made dinner plans for them at Sunset Monalisa right off the beach. Christian is hardly one to make plans so Nadia was caught a bit off guard, but pleasantly surprised. Christian and Nadia arrived at the restaurant ahead of schedule. Soon after they were seated, Christian started to panic because he arranged for the photographer to meet them down at the beach. Christian tells Nadia that he needs to step away to wash up, but in reality he was contacting the photographer to come up from the beach to the restaurant. Christian comes back to the table and tells Nadia it is too windy where they are sitting and that need to move tables. Nadia, being Nadia, doesn’t want to move because the view was perfect at the table they were at. Christian pleas with Nadia to trust him and move tables. Nadia finally agrees and gets up to move. It is on the way that a photographer asked if she could take a picture of them. Again, Nadia, being Nadia tells Christian, “Let’s not. We are going to have to pay for it. We can just have our waiter take one on our phone.” Christian tells Nadia, “It’s ok. Let’s just take one.” It is then, while they are posing for their picture, that Christian starts to whisper to Nadia, drops down on one knee, and asks her to marry him. :’)
