On December 2nd, 2023, Karen and Sean’s story began in the most perfect place, Whataburger in Gallatin, TN. Karen’s childhood favorite. From the very first hello, the sparks were flying, and it was love at first sight. They talked late into the night, long past the planned end of their date, sharing laughs, stories, and stolen glances. Sean sealed the deal with a surprise bouquet of bright orange roses he was hiding in his car. Just a week later, on December 9th, 2023, they made it official, the beginning of a lifetime together.

A year later, Sean whisked Karen away to New York City for their first anniversary. On the night of December 9th, 2024, he took her to the ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center (a moment months in the making, complete with skating lessons to make sure Karen could glide with ease. We'll ignore the part where she still fell.) As the rink cleared and only the two of them remained, Angel by Aerosmith, the song Sean had dedicated to Karen early in their relationship, began to play. Under the glow of the iconic Rockefeller Christmas tree, Sean got down on one knee. With hearts full and eyes sparkling, Karen gave him the easiest, happiest Yes of her life.
