Future Mr. & Mrs. Spires

In late August 2022, Cordell messaged Alli on Hinge for the first time. Cordell in law school and Alli starting a new school year teaching, their first date was the Texas State Fair on October 15, 2022. The 250+ acre fair was a "go big or go home" first date, but luckily, they went big! It was on that date they both knew their connection was something special. Less than a year later, Cordell moved to Philadelphia, but their relationship only grew despite the distance. For a whole year Alli visited Cordell in Philadelphia and Cordell visited Alli in Dallas. In August of 2024, Alli followed her heart all the way to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where Cordell, Alli, and Porkchop have been living together as a family ever since. On July 25, 2025 in Boston, Massachusetts at the Boston Common, Cordell proposed to Alli under a beautiful weeping willow tree dedicated to celebrate another couple's marriage in 2002. Cordell had no idea this weeping willow was dedicated to celebrate marriage - it was just meant to be, as it has been since the beginning.
