The story of us and how we met is the true definition of fate! Kelly was out to dinner one night with some college cheerleading friends and decided to meet her roommate at the time out for drinks. Kelly called her roommate on her way and her roommate mentioned some guys from her high school were there. Once Kelly arrived, she met the party up on the rooftop of Midtown 1015 (now closed). This is where she met Jared! Jared and Kelly were talking all night and when Kelly mentioned she was leaving her NYC life behind to relocate to a new school in Tyngsboro, MA, Jared asked for her number. Here's where fate steps in. The new school where Kelly would be employed at, was only a 10 minute drive to Jared's home. Kelly gave Jared her number and once she was settled and moved into her new location, the two went on their first date which consisted of a round of mini golf followed by dinner at Red Robin. The rest is history!

Jared is an early riser and on this particular day, Jared asked Kelly to go on a hike with him. Kelly, who is not as early a riser as Jared, said yes. Jared suggested they go get breakfast burritos at the Coffee Bean up the street. Burritos in hand, a coffee in the other, they drove about an hour outside of Vegas to a state park called The Valley of Fire. There isn't much hiking at Valley of Fire, but they found a few trails to walk on. On the first trail, Jared had pulled Kelly up on to a rock and took her hands. He was saying all of these kind and sweet nothings. But nothing happened! Kelly then suggested they get down from the rock because it was a little high (Jared would beg to differ). They finished the trail and headed back to the car. Jared suggested they find another trail but Kelly said she didn't know if she could make it because she was tired (LOL). Jared told Kelly to just hike what she can and if she gets tired they will stop. On the second trail, Kelly and Jared hiked to this open valley with beautiful views. They turned to head back to the car when Jared pulled Kelly aside, got down on one knee, and asked for her hand in marriage!
