It all began in the most unexpected of places, a holiday-themed show at a baseball stadium. Jenny had decided it was time to return to her roots in stage management, and Travis had just wrapped work on Killers of the Flower Moon, searching for his next job. That next step turned out to be Elf on the Shelf: The Magical Holiday Experience at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, Texas, once home to the Texas Rangers. Some might call it coincidence… but we like to think it was fate. As the show came together, so did we. What started as two professionals focused on the job slowly blossomed into something much more. In the months that followed, life gave us all the space (and a few unexpected plot twists) to grow closer. We quarantined together after both catching COVID, traveled to Los Angeles and Las Vegas, caught more Dallas Mavericks and Stars games than we can count, and shared some unforgettable meals along the way. Through it all, something just clicked. We laughed, learned, supported, and genuinely loved being together. It didn’t take long before we realized: we weren’t just a great team, we were each other’s person. And we’ve been inseparable ever since.
