No way Jose! We completely understand the various complications our family and friends may be facing which wouldn't allow them to make the trip. Mexico is far for everybody, we know we're asking for a lot, please don't feel obligated to come if you can't. We'll just celebrate with you the next time we see you!
Yes! Using our travel agent you will be able to book your flight and room accommodations in one place. Once both are booked you are all set! The only extra money, should you feel the need to spend, would go towards activities OFF the resort! We do recommend bringing some cash to tip the staff though. That is always welcomed to show appreciation for good service!
You bet! Our travel agent will work with you to find the best deal possible using the airline of your choice! You can also choose to book your airfare solo (if you want to use points, credits, etc.)!
Transportation to and from Cancun Airport is provided by the hotel and is complimentary with your stay!
YES! We know travel to a foreign country can be worrisome! That is why we have included a link to the United States Travel Advisory for Mexico. There are no travel warnings for the Quintana Roo state (where our wedding will take place). We've included the paragraph from web-page below for your convenience. There are no restrictions on travel for U.S. government employees in Quintana Roo state, which include tourist areas in: Cancun, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and the Riviera Maya. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories/mexico-travel-advisory.html
We kindly ask that no children be present during the ceremony and ensuing reception. One of the great things about Xcaret is that it is a family-friendly resort with tons of activities for children...including babysitting! We want our guest to be able to fully enjoy the celebration and let loose! Consider this an opportunity to take a night off! Xcaret has Kid's Club, where your kids can spend an incredible day doing different activities, available for children from four to twelve years old, from 09:00 am to 21:00. For nanny services, Xcaret works with an external company named KANGAROO - they are certified in first aid and the service is 24 hours every day. The cost is $15 USD per hour per 2 children (3 children will be $30 USD); the cost for the baby sitter transportation is $10 USD during the day and $15 at night. The service is cash only to be paid directly to the nanny.
We have blocked off a large number of rooms for a minimum 3 night stay, but you are welcome and encouraged to stay as long as you like! The bride and groom will be there all week!
For the majority of this trip, we expect to see everyone soaking up the sun in their best beach/pool loungewear. As for the big day - during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception we do ask for formal cocktail attire
Unfortunately, we would advise against drinking tap water anywhere in Mexico. The good news is though, your room along with the rest of the resort will be well-stocked with clean filtered water.
