They met in April 2017 at a work event in New York City. They hit it off immediately, laughing the entire time at the bar afterwards, and although they'd go their separate ways, they knew that a special connection was made. Fast forward six months to the company's annual conference in Orlando, Alex (the boy) noticed Alex (the girl) off in the distance. She was a bit too far away for a proper hello, and he didn't know for sure that he'd see her again, so an email would have to do. Luckily, she accepted his offer for a quick drink at the end of the night, and the rest is history. They dated for a while, spending a lot of time on the road between CT and NJ, and eventually found a place to call their home in Hoboken.

They planned a weekend in Lake George, NY to enjoy the last few days of summer.  When he was younger, Alex frequented Lake George with his family, so he spent the weeks before planting the seed on a variety of 'must-do's,' including watching a Lake George sunrise. They woke up that second-to-last morning before dawn to cross that final item off of their list. He had already picked his spot, and walked them down to the edge of the dock.  While Alexandra was obliviously taking pictures of the view, Alex was dropping to one knee with the box!  He popped the question, she said yes, he finally exhaled, and they soaked in the special moment.
