Vishal and I first met at Eataly for a coffee date. We realized right away that we didn't want the date to end after a cup of coffee. Vishal then asked if we could extend our date into dinner, hours later he asked me to see a movie! After the movie he of course suggested to hang out more, which I jokingly said, "Is this going to be a 12 hour date?" Though we ended our 1st date after the movie, this was only the beginning of our love story!

2020 has been a year of ups and downs, however the best day was 07/04/2020. Vishal flew from Oklahoma to Chicago to visit me before having knee surgery. What I thought was a weekend to take care of me when I couldn't walk, turned into the greatest proposal! Vishal knew my family would be at my parent's house for a 4th of July BBQ, so he had the whole family involved. Taking pictures with family was cut short when Celine Dion's "Because you loved me" (we love Celine!) began to play through the speakers. After proposing, my sister, Vishal's sister, and cousins came out with balloons, banners, confetti, etc. It was amazing, wheelchair and all :) Vishal knows how much my family means to me so it was so great having them included. It was a day full of fireworks, so it was only fitting that we're getting married on the 4th of July 2021!
