Travel Note
Martha's Vineyard is a small island off the coast of Cape Cod. The two ways to get to the island are to fly to the Martha's Vineyard Airport or to take the ferry. You can bring your car over on the ferry but reservations are required. If you do not wish to bring your car, you can travel on the ferry as a passenger. The ferry ride is a quick 45 minutes. If you choose to leave your car on the main land, there are several parking lots and the free shuttle will bring you directly to the ferry. The ferry leaves from Woodshole.
Flight
If flying, JetBlue and Cape Air both fly into Martha's Vineyard airport. The airport is centrally located on the island, and Taxis and Ubers are available at the airport. Boston Logan Airport (BOS) An alternative option is to fly into BOS, then take a bus from the airport to Woods Hole (via PeterPan bus ~ 2 hours). The PeterPan drops you off directly at the Woods Hole Ferry Terminal.
House Or Rental
Renting a house is one of the best ways to enjoy everything Vineyard life has to offer, especially if you're planning to make an extended vacation out of your trip or traveling with a group.
