Our Story

In November 2012, Alese and Mike’s lives intertwined at their favorite bar in Philadelphia, Public House. Little did they know, that chance meeting marked the beginning of a beautiful love story, filled with shared adventures, laughter, and a bond that only grew stronger with time. As the night unfolded, despite Mike’s gentleman demeanor Alese wasn’t quite convinced. After a few weeks and another chance meeting, the duo decided to take the plunge and go on an official date. The air was filled with anticipation as they chose a cozy restaurant with dim lighting and a warm ambiance. As the evening unfolded, a night of “just drinks” turned into closing the restaurant down as their connection deepened, solidifying the start of a romantic journey. Indeed, the rest became a beautiful history of love, companionship, and shared experiences for Alese and Mike. They navigated life's ups and downs together over the years, creating a story filled with cherished memories and lots to come! Fast forward to 2023, it was a whirlwind year filled with several milestones for the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Viscuse! In July of 2022 the duo closed on their first house and went through a total renovation project to create their dream home which took much longer than anticipate, well into 2023. With the holidays fast approaching and a lot going on, Alese and Mike maintained the traditions they had established over the last 8 years like picking out a Christmas tree in their town and visiting Longwood Gardens. Visiting Longwood Gardens around the holidays is a tradition Alese and Mike started together years ago. While walking through the beautifully decorated property on a cold night in December, Alese requested her seventeenth photo of the evening prior to their departure. “I should have known something was up… Mike never is willing to take so many photos in one night!” Alese said in laughter. As Alese “primped” for the last photo of the evening, she turned to find Mike on one knee with a crowd of strangers cheering in excitement. The bride and groom enjoy traveling often and couldn’t have thought of a better location for their wedding than the jewel of the Caribbean - St. Lucia! They can’t wait to see you there!
