No and no! The zoom link will be available on the "Virtual Ceremony" page when the time comes. We have an account and Zola is hosting the app so all you have to do is click! It is best to use a desktop or laptop computer rather than a phone so you can see friends and family, as well as us. It will make the whole experience better.
Please enter the zoom meeting at 10:15 to ensure that you have a good connection and allow time for troubleshooting. You will be placed into a waiting room until 10:30am when the ceremony will start.
At 10:30, when everyone has been allowed into the call from the waiting room, all attendees will be muted and you should hear music and see our backyard. A somewhat typical ceremony will take place. We will have someone managing the zoom call so if you have an issue or a question, type it into the chat and they will assist you. Once the ceremony is over, we will say a few words and a friend will do a reading. We will allow toasts at this time, unmuting only those that have requested to say a few words. After toasts, we will cut the cake and have our first dance. Please dance with us!!!!
No way, but please wear bottoms! To show your support and make the day special, feel free to dress for a midday garden party. Floral prints, pastels, seersucker, linen, blazers, fedoras, and fascinators. Looking for an excuse to wear your old wedding dress? This is it! If you have your old wedding clothes, please wear them. Seriously. Why not?
The whole thing will be recorded via zoom, us and you! The recording will be available to guests later that day. In case you missed it or wish to share it.
Yes and no. Please ask us before sharing so we can at least keep an eye on the number and aren't surprised on the day of the wedding. The bigger the zoom meeting, the harder it is to manage. You also have the option to watch with people from home, social distancing of course. You could even project it onto a big screen and watch with a large group outdoors! Get creative. You will also have the option to share the recording after the fact so please consider sharing that instead.
Check out the details on the "Virtual Ceremony" page. There are tons of ways to get involved and show your support before, during, and after.
