Grassy park where Austin City Limits takes place. Great place to walk around or people watch and drink your coffee. This is by Lady Bird Lake and has trails and Austin Parks and Gardens surrounding.
This is across the street from Zilker Park but deserves it's own section. A natural springs pool with 70 degree water year round, free before 8am and closed Thursdays from 9am-7pm. Worth a dip at some point over your long weekend.
The Lady Bird Lake Trail is a beautiful 10 mile loop around the lake right in the middle of downtown Austin, with great views of the water and skyline. It’s an easy, flat spot for a walk, jog, or coffee stroll and a very “Austin” way to spend some time outside.
Our new favorite activity in Austin, padel. If you need some activity, padel is a great way to burn some cals! This facility is located next to The Yard full of food and drink options for after you play. Reach out to Andrew if you want to play and have questions on booking.
YETI Flagship Store on South Congress - think rugged coolers, tumblers, and outdoor goodies with a laid-back Austin vibe, plus a chill outdoor patio and bar to hang out on. It’s a fun stop if you’re exploring South Congress. Also right around the corner from the famous bridge where you can see the bats at dusk.
Tecovas on South Congress is a great place to shop for classic Texas-style boots and feel like a true Texan. It's also located on one of Austin’s most iconic shopping streets.
The Rustic Tap on West 6th is a laid-back bar with great drinks, a big outdoor patio, and bag chairs, so it feels a little like a tailgate. It’s an easy, fun place to hang out and watch sports and is the perfect spot to start your West 6th bar hop.
One of our favorite outdoor spots for a beer or Boozy Coffee. They have several food trucks onsite as well!
One of our favorite spots for a fresh, casual meal. Vinaigrette is a great option if you’re looking for something lighter - think big, creative salads, good wine, and a relaxed outdoor patio under a huge oak tree just off South Congress. Perfect for a laid-back lunch or early dinner while exploring the area.
Our favorite pizza spot in town! Via 313 Pizza is Detroit-style pizza - thick, crispy-edged squares. Pop over to their location on East 6th for dinner and there are plenty of breweries and other bars in walking distance.
Good barbecue and even better experience.
East 6th is a very cool area of Austin. Our recommendation is to start at the Brewery and hop from bar to bar! Try our favorite beer, Icy Boys
If you're looking for a nicer meal or cocktail, we recommend Juliet's on Barton Springs. Great Italian food, frozen Rose, aperol spritzes, and apps. Can sit inside or outside on their large patio.
