Garden of the Gods
Garden of the Gods is a National Nature Landmark that is free to enter. The rock formations are beautiful. A paved route circles the park with multiple spots to pull over and walk among the formations.
Manitou Incline
The Manitou Incline is not for the faint of heart, but if you want a challenge, there are 2768 steps calling your name. Bring lots of water, start early, and don't forget to consider the fact that what goes up must come down. The Barr Trail adds an additional 3 miles of switchbacks bringing you back to the trailhead.
Cave of the Winds Mountain Park
In addition to a tour of the cave system, the site includes an adventure course and a zip line
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo requires advanced tickets during high demand seasons (like June!). A ticket to the Zoo also grants you entry to the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun. The monument is dedicated to Will Rogers, who died in a plane crash in 1935.
