Virginia and Cade met in September of 2020 while they both attended Louisiana State University and lived in the same building of Oakbrook apartments. Virginia and her roommates were having a 'house-warming' party, when they invited the boys living in the apartment above them. One of those boys - Cade - asked for Virginia's number and the rest is history!

Virginia was nearing the end of her graduate program at LSU, and Cade insisted they go to dinner somewhere nice for their 3.5 year anniversary. At first he made dinner reservations at the Myrtles, but that unfortunately closed due to a big storm in St. Francisville. He made a second set of dinner reservations at The Saint Restaurant and proposed before dinner under a beautiful gazebo! Their friends and family surprised Virginia with a party after dinner. It was the most perfect day!
