Our God-ordained love story...

Josiah and Violetta met at a Bible study, which was held in the lobby of an apartment building that Violetta now calls her home! A week prior to their meeting, Violetta felt the Lord nudging her to start finding a new place to live. That was when she decided to venture out one random Sunday to check out the newly built apartment complex just around the corner. Even though Violetta had other errands to run that day, she felt the Holy Spirit telling her to go to those apartments first. At the time, it didn't make sense because they were obviously going to be closed. However, God had led her to a group of ladies who just so happened to be walking out of the double doors of the complex right as Violetta was walking up! One of the ladies was wearing a shirt that said "Jesus," and THAT was the sign that Violetta needed to know, she was in the right place at the right time (God's time). Moreover, Violetta gets invited to the monthly Bible study that the ladies were hosting the following Sunday, and she excitedly accepted the invitation while thinking, "maybe God just wants me to fellowship with more Christians". Little did she know, not only was God blessing her with a new home, but He was also leading Violetta to her future husband. Jittering with nerves and excitement, Violetta walked into the double doors of the complex for the first time. Yet, before seeing anyone, she was greeted by the sound of a beautiful melody coming from the lobby! To her surprise, she sees a man (Josiah) calmly performing a song at his keyboard, while a few attendees gathered around him to listen. She eventually walked up to Josiah to give him a compliment on the music, not realizing he was going to be the guest speaker for this event! Everyone gathered around as Josiah spoke, and Violetta's interest was immediately piqued. She loved the way he taught scripture and could tell that this man was on fire for God! Josiah was also intrigued after Violetta shared to the group that she had just gotten baptized a couple of weeks prior... he could tell that she loved the Lord too. During the event, Josiah found the chance to approach Violetta to officially introduce himself and ask her name. Then, Violetta began networking by exchanging social media handles with all the attendees. However, when it came to Josiah, Violetta intentionally gave him her number. Josiah took advantage of the opportunity and did NOT hesitate to call and ask Violetta to get coffee that coming Friday! As Josiah would say, their first date was a "God appointment," and it lasted over 4 hours! As they both walked away from the coffee shop feeling refreshed after their deep conversation, a similar idea began brewing in the back of both of their minds, "I think this person is the one."

Josiah proposed to Violetta on November 6th 2023. Just a year prior, this was the exact day that Violetta had given her life to Jesus. He brought her to a restaurant called Piropos, making her think that they were there to celebrate her born again birthday. She definitely was not expecting to see their friends sitting in the corner of the restaurant, ready to greet her with white roses! He then hands her a bouquet of red roses, sits her down, and begins to play her a video which he created to congratulate her on the big day. Then the video transitions to Josiah standing in front of that very restaurant, confessing that they were ALSO there to celebrate their engagement! Clutching the roses, Violetta turns her head in shock, and sees Josiah on one knee holding the beautiful ring in his hand. He then asks, "Violetta Hamilton, will you marry me?" and with the biggest smile on her face Violetta says "YES!"
