We want our guests to wear what they are comfortable in--whether that means Indian or American attire is up to you! Bright colors are joyfully encouraged. For those attending our smaller Christian ceremony, we suggest semi-formal/dressy casual attire and formal wear for the Hindu ceremony, which will immediately lead in to the cocktail hour and reception. If you have any questions about attire, please let us know!
In Hindu weddings, the groom is led to the marriage venue in a processional known as the Baraat. Traditionally, the groom arrives on a white horse, celebrating with drums, music, and dancing with his family and guests. The bride's family greets the groom's family and guests, exchanging garlands prior to the wedding ceremony. The Baraat will assemble at 3:40pm sharp right outside the lobby of the Saint Kate on the corner of Water St. and Kilbourn Ave. Please be on time to begin the Baraat at 3:45pm. The group will proceed south down Water Street approximately one block to the entrance of the Milwaukee Rivercenter. The processional will then enter the Saint Kate through the Rivercenter atrium, past the galleries, and to the second floor where Vintee's family will be waiting to welcome Steve and his family.
The health and safety of our family and friends is of utmost important to us. We will be following CDC and local guidance and will provide updates as our wedding gets closer. We ask that our guests be fully vaccinated against COVID. If you are experiencing any COVID symptoms at the time of our wedding, please stay home to help keep others safe.
