We were introduced at church by my brother-in-law TJ, who grew up with Michael. A few months later, Michael asked me to go to lunch and the rest is history!
Michael took me to dinner at Toad Suck Bucks, a local spot in the middle of nowhere. After dinner, we drove back to Michael's house and as we were pulling up, I noticed the garage door was open and his mom's SUV was in the garage. I asked if his parents were at his house and he said he did not know. We then pulled in the driveway a different way and Michael took off to walk up on the front porch. So naturally I asked more questions, "Why were were going into the house this way?" and, "If your parents are here, why are all the lights off?" Michael then stopped in the middle of the front porch and pulled out the most beautiful ring and quickly asked me to marry him and then dipped down on one knee. I said yes! and heard clicking behind us. My sister-in-law Jessica was hiding on the other side of the porch to take pictures. It happened so fast though, I am not sure she got any. We then walked inside where our families were waiting, including Michael's daughter Lilly who was holding a sign that read, "Will you marry my Dada?" We spent the rest of the evening celebrating with close friends and family. It was a night we will cherish forever!
