We are opposites in many ways, but one thing has kept us united: our shared faith. The Name "Jessica"; The first time I heard the name "Jessica". If someone asks me how I knew about Jessica, I usually say, "She's my best friend's best friend's best friend." When we look back, it's just God's grace that so many things had to fall into place for that interaction to happen. The only condition I had to get past was to support her dream. The Message "Ceeco"; Although the first day I spoke to her was on May 10, 2021. It all started with "Hi Ceeco! This is Vineeth!" The reason it took so long is very beautiful. My girl kept this whole season in prayer. And from the beginning, this relationship had a goal. We did not want to be aimless, and constant prayer and fellowship made us realize that it has to be God-centered. The "First Meet"; Well, my birthday was behind, but hers was coming soon. It was finally a day I got to meet her (Shh! She doesn't know it yet). Thanks to her friends, we managed to pull off a surprise the first thing on her birthday morning. Little did she know someone was bringing her a cake on her birthday! Her only complaint to her friends was that she wasn't prepared. Well, nothing bothered me. Her little tiptoe hug made me never look back again. The "Studybucks" Era; Dreams take effort. Our support for the effort was not only about the relationship, but also about making those dreams come true. It mostly involved studying at Starbucks, where we had free Wi-Fi and great coffee. We probably spent more time together in person in Starbucks than anywhere else. It's a place that is easier to go to and harder to leave. The "Distance"; Distance makes the heart grow fonder. A really true statement in our lives. Managing lives with really challenging time zones has never been easy. It helped us understand each other a lot more than we had anticipated. Shuffling between jobs, exams, immigration, etc, probably gave us a little time than we anticipated every day. But that wait to talk to each other at one point of the day was always worth it. This distance makes this union makes it much more special and worth it. But I must admit that the distance felt smaller with only her push to give each other time. Till Death Do Us Part; With 5 years closing in, while I was distracted by many challenges in life, she continued to hold my hand tighter as she faced her own. It's a love I will never take for granted, and I continue to aim to love her as Christ loved the Church. ------------------------------------------------------- Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 -------------------------------------------------------
A friend connected us after finding that our smiles were the same! I first thought, 'Umm, okay, Interesting, let’s see who this person is who has the same smile as mine.' From the moment he slid into my messages with 'Hi Cecoo,' our lives have changed for the best. His bright and joyful demeanour was captivating. Right from the start, I felt comfortable, which was surprising, as I really take my time opening up to people, but with him, I felt a closeness not felt with anyone else. --- We began dating with the intention of pursuing marriage. Little did we know, over the calls and talks, we fell in love. Truly, it was Christ who held us together. Amidst our busy schedules and his work travel, we often had to be apart for long distances in the early years of our relationship. He later moved to Canada for his Master’s, which made us look forward to the little time we get. Amid the hustle, our desire to be together and our love grew deeper. --- Growing up, I asked my mom how we should pray for our life partner, and she told me, God knows what’s best for us. That stuck with me, and I asked God to bring me a partner according to His Will, and Oh Wow! He truly does know what’s best. I’m so amazed to see how intentionally He brought us together. --- Vineeth is my answered prayer. I was in awe of what God can do when we pray, and He is a living testimony of that! He is the most humble person I’ve seen, and I’m amazed by his God-given strength, discipline, diligence, and gentleness. He’s the person to brighten up any room and all my days with his smile. As he said, we're mostly on opposite sides of the pole. Our constant center has always been Christ, and His Grace has always kept us together. --- Vineeth has been a great support in pursuing my dreams and accomplishing what I set out to do. He’s been my biggest cheerleader in days when I don’t feel like doing things. He pushes me to pursue the things I love. --- Last year, He surprised me by visiting India, and that’s when we decided to let our families know about our decision to get married. In 2025, Vineeth officially met my family in the US (also because I was missing him a little too much!) and talked to everyone, making sure they were comfortable. I officially met his family and had the chance to get to know and spend time with them, and I felt so deeply welcomed and loved. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.” 1 John 4:12 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Even as we strive to do this, with our family’s blessing, we’re so excited to unfold into everything God has in store for us and spend the most-awaited day of our lives with you and your blessings!
