Matron of Honor
Bride's best friend | MK and I met in 2015 between our sophomore and junior years of college. We roomed together for a summer and quickly bonded over our love of cooking, Scandal, scary movies, and Downton Abbey. Despite living many states away from one another, she is my best friend through it all! Bring this gal a glass of red wine and she'll have a few stories for you that you don't want to miss!
Best Man
High School Friend | EJ and I became friends in cross country back in 2009. We’ve remained best friends since despite me forgetfully driving off without him twice in the same day, including taking him to 7/11 for a apology slurpee and then driving off with his bike because I forgot him (yet again). Trouble is afoot whenever we get together and as far as my mother is concerned we plead the fifth on whether we drank their fifth back in the day. A few fun facts about EJ: he is an ER nurse in Milwaukee, has a fine mineral collection, and is the king of sass.
Maid of Honor
Cousin of the Bride | Katelyn and I are the only girls among the Sleeter cousin crew! From summer vacations to visits with our grandparents, she and I have always been attached at the hip. About 20 years ago, Katelyn and I promised each other that if we ever got married, we'd be each other's maid of honor ~ I feel so honored to have this girl next to me! We also recently discovered our shared love of the True Crime genre, so obviously we'll be spending our 30s messaging back and forth about the most recent Netflix true crime releases!
Best Man
Loras College | Dave, or DbabyJones for those close to him, is my close friend from college and my roommate for 5 out of the last 8 years. We met at ‘Wildfire Wednesday’ bonfires at the 840 Loras campus house, which was soon after terminated as a recurring event due to too much wildness. Nonetheless, Dave and I have plenty of college stories. Feel free to ask him about his dog bite on his jaw. A few fun facts about Dave: he was a college swimmer, played rugby, and makes a fantastic mid-day mai tai.
Bridesman
Brother of the Bride | Sam's been the best brother I could ask for, so when it came to my wedding party, I needed to have my bro up there by my side! You might notice he's one of my "something blues"! He and I have tons of memories from our childhood in FL, and more recently, from our experiences venturing into home ownership in South Bend while in pursuit of my PhD... Let's call a spade a spade ~ this guy deserves an honorary doctorate from Notre Dame! If you're looking for a good story, or a good laugh, by all means find Sam at the reception!
Groomsman
Brother of the Groom | The oldest brother of the groom, Bri Bri has known me for 30 years and… dealt with 30 years of bad dad jokes and hyper-activity. We are bonded by the trials and tribulations of 3 male siblings, a passion for traveling, making cocktails, and screaming inside joke phrases repetitively. A few fun facts about Brian: he lived in Salt Lake City for a few years, is an incredible photographer (ask him about his star/night sky pics), and is quite the baker.
Bridesmaid
Cousin of the Bride | Jamie introduced me to the "city life" when I first moved to Chicago for college. I was nervous, didn't know how to navigate the L system, and wasn't very adventurous. She quickly turned that around! I'll forever remember hopping on the 147 express to get down to Streeterville for dinner and an evening hang!
Groomsman
Brother of the Groom | The middle and shortest of the Lauer brothers. Most of my cooking skills were actually taught to me over time by Mike and for that I’m thankful. During the Covid lockdown Mike, his wife Lauren, and I created numerous dishes that caused envious minds and watering mouths across Facebook whenever we posted pics of our new creations. We also had a good run in brewing beer together and even built a kegerator for fun. I would not recommend trusting him with landing any ski jumps. A few fun facts about Mike: he is father to Maui (the dog, not the island), quite the travel planner, and obsessed with Mickey Mouse ice cream.
Bridesmaid
Cousin of the Bride | Gretchen and her sister (Jamie Brogan!) are the sisters I never had! When I first moved to Chicago for school, I was scared to be away from home and in a new place. Gretchen was always there when I needed a weekend with family away from the city.
Groomsman
Loras College friend and former roommate | Tequila Neil is an iconic member of the Loras friend group. Father to Viv (dog) that he rescued from the streets and bonded with while living in our college trap house & on. Caution: he is a professional gaslighter and will tell you he does not have a tattoo on his butt... he does. Fun facts about Neil: he does a better De Niro face than me.
Bridesman
Cousin of the Bride | My closest first cousin on the Vincent side, and one of my "something blues" on this special day. I'll never forget cutting a rug with Fo at his sister's wedding - he came up, danced with me, took my drink out of my hand, and finished it and walked away... Forrest is the life of the party!
Groomsman
Loras College | Danny and I met at Wildfire Wednesdays and discovered our dorm rooms were next to each others. He eventually became my fraternity son and then we lived together my senior year, where we had the “Swim House” on campus. An iconic member of the Loras college group Danny is a very easy to talk to person and a great friend. A few fun facts about him: he swam from Alcatraz to mainland, has an Eagles tattoo, has quite the fear of snakes, and is forklift certified ladies.
Bridesmaid
Friend of the Bride | Brianna and I first met in 2010 through our club dive team. As things typically go, we lost touch when we left for college. Six years later, we got back in touch when I enrolled in my PhD program at ND where Brianna was pursuing her PhD in economics. We enjoyed four wonderful years of ND football, wine nights (with Amaryllis Adey!), Chen's takeout, and game nights - if that isn't fate, I don't know what is!
Groomsman
High School Friend | I met Real Chi Bob aka Bobby Niska in high school cross country. A former Wheatonite he now resides in Phoenix and works as a lawyer. He is the human version of the ‘Energizer Bunny’ and always ready to have a good time. Beware, I have never witnessed or heard of him having a hangover so proceed with caution if you go toe-toe with him. Did you know he’s run well over 5 marathons (including Boston, Chicago, Berlin)?
Bridesmaid
Friend of the Bride | Amaryllis and I met at a professional conference when I first started graduate school. Much to both of our surprise, we both accepted PhD positions at Notre Dame, and our friendship blossomed from there! From emergency dog sitter to football game buddy, Amaryllis is always there to lend a hand. She’s got incredible stories of field work on the Copper River Delta in Alaska, her travels around Australia, and many nights out at Madison Oyster Bar during our first year at Notre Dame! She’s one of the kindest people around, so if you’re looking for a buddy, find Amaryllis at the reception!
Groomsman
High School | I met Albert in high school cross country, and we quickly bonded playing video games. He is balanced 50/50 between his passion for traveling the world and mischief. One of his all time pranks was putting Vicks vapor rub on all of the bedroom door handles of my parents' home… what are the odds my mom would get mad closing multiple doors that night! Do not order drive-thru fast food if he is the passenger in the car, your french fries will mysteriously disappear by the time you get home! A few fun facts about Albert: he is a former marine, has traveled to multiple continents, and has amazing tattoos.
