Our Love Story

Our first date at Drip Coffee

August 2023, I started in the PACU at Memorial Northpark Hospital. Little did I know, I would find my husband there. I remember seeing Vincent at work, in the hall, or the break room, always very shy but so cute and I could just tell he had the sweetest demeanor. We would chat briefly in passing, fast forward to 2025 and he started hanging around more often. Our chats grew longer and he would even stick around to walk out with me. Unbeknownst to me, he got off at 2pm every day, and he would wait around to talk to me well past when he had clocked out, oops. My church has annual bake sales in the spring and fall, and I found out he loved baklava, so I ordered him some. I had just planned to give it to him the next time I saw him at work. The Lord had other plans. I bought the baklava on Friday, May 9th, and on Sunday, May 11th, I got a message on facebook messenger that would alter the course of my life. It was Vincent, asking me out for coffee, I had butterflies in my stomach. We met for coffee on May 13th, our first date. I remember vividly, he looked so handsome, wearing a green shirt that complimented his green eyes so well. We chatted until the coffee shop closed and then chatted for another 30 minutes in the parking lot because we just didn't want the date to end. We bonded over our love for God, family, and coffee, and I remember thinking that he was truly something special. The feeling was mutual and there hasn't been a day since that coffee date that I haven't had that exact thought. The wait was long, but God had someone perfect waiting for me. I love you, Vincent Miller, with all my heart!
