This was no ordinary Saturday, this would be the biggest Saturday of both our lives so far… They had spent the day at the Price house, chilling, snacking, and napping in that order. Nothing too revealing, Except Vincent had arranged to have a birthday celebration with Sophie and to give her a small gift. They put on some their best clothes and took a drive to a well known restaurant named Shiki Sushi. After dinner Vincent pointed out that it was a nice evening and suggested a stroll in a unique park nearby. Sophie was hesitant at first, considering her outfit, but eventually was convinced by the smooth and convincing language of Vincent. As they arrived at the park, they hesitated to enter, and checked if this was the right location. This was a ploy to check on the set up of the proposal with his helping hand. Once he received word, it was show time. She strolled through the park, trusting that he knew what he was doing, after all he took her to a dirt path knowing she was in heels and had on an all-black jumper. He distracted her with the perfect sky and sunset display, and as they rounded the bend, she noticed the flower petals spread across her step. It wasn’t long before she noticed the photographer, but still without a clue she continued. And alas she noticed a girl filming, this was her good friend and sister of Vincent. And as realization hit, she turned and saw the beautiful set up with 7 giant letters that read “Marry Me”
It was an ordinary day, the same bowl of cereal, chaotic screams from younger siblings, same brown light up star war shoes, the same walk to jefferson middle school, everything was as it was before. But something was going to happen that would change the course of the future for better or worse, richer or poorer, till parted by death. On this sunny Friday morning, little sophie burns walked to jefferson middle school. She attended all her classes, took her final few tests, hugged and said goodbye to all of her favorite teachers. As she packed up her locker at the end of a wonderful last day she turned as she noticed a ruckus and shuffling from her side, and BAMMM!!...... Vincent was on his way to school, wiping the drool and cleaning his shirt from the discarded breakfast his two little brothers threw up onto him. Already being late to the bus he hurried off. After somehow passing his classes, and receiving his last few scorns and colorful send offs from his teachers, he took his trumpet and went to band class. After class a few students wanted to say their "goodbyes" as they did everyday all year. Being used to it he took the hounding like a champ. But wanting better, he thought to himself , since it was the last day at Jefferson middle school that he would try and turn this awful day into a great day, after all it couldn't get much worse. He searched the halls for the girl that would crushed on all year, only to find McKenna Stoikavic hugging another. Discouraged he ran off, only to trip and fall. His trumpet flew forward and hit a poor girl in the face and breaking her nose. This girl was of course Sophie. Feeling terrible Vincent visited Sophie in the hospital a few times, where their love sparked and grew over the summer. They grew very fond of each other but being the idiot Vincent is he never caught the obvious hints she was throwing at him. So he moved on through high school, trying to date other people. And after no luck, and Sophie’s many many many boyfriends.. JK… The true story of how we met is Sophie found an Instagram DM from Vincent asking her "where he knew her from?" and asking for her other socials, and for whatever reason sophie gave them to him. This led to endless Facetiming over the summer, and to finally meet on november 1st at the Burns home for dinner, a movie, and some games.
