The Madison Night Market is a vibrant, monthly street festival held in downtown Madison (State Street/Capitol Square) from 5-9 pm on select Thursdays, featuring 100+ local vendors, live music, and food carts. Come see what Madison’s all about here!
The heart of Madison: Our market is the largest producers only farmers market in the US! It’s held Saturday morning on the Capitol Square and is one of our favorite weekend activities. Come here to bring a memento home from Wisconsin or buy our region’s best produce, baked goods, and art. Get there early if you want to avoid the crowd!
Fun fact: It’s illegal for a building to be taller than the Capitol in Madison, but this restaurant is pretty close. It’s a fun tapas-style restaurant with an amazing view of the Capitol. Try visiting at sunset!
Great food, but their happy hour 2 PM-5 PM and 9 PM-Close every day is the reason to go. Half price tacos and margaritas just off the square.
If you've got a group and are looking for something to do for an afternoon, bar trivia is readily available all days of the week. Just google "bar trivia near me" and I'm sure you'll find something. I linked the Brass Ring as one we've gone to close to downtown. They also have pool!
While we won't be at work the week of the wedding, we've had plenty of people ask about visiting Epic. Epic is open to the public and free to tour! You need to schedule a self guided tour using the below link.
Olbrich is a large botanical garden on the east side of Madison, a few minutes from the Capitol. A beautiful place to spend a morning or afternoon!
26 acre zoo near downtown Madison that is free to visit. We’ve never been, but it looks cool!
If you're looking for shopping Hilldale is probably the best mall in town. They also have a farmers market on Wednesday if you prefer to sleep in on Saturday instead of going to the Dane County farmers market!
