Check out this village on the South Shore of Long Island loaded with restaurants, cafes, and clubs about 20 minutes from the Hyatt. Our favorite spots: Rhum (Caribbean fare), Blue Point (brewery), Toast (brunch), Dirty Taco + Tequila (LA taco truck + Asian street food), and of course That Meetball Place (see you there for the Welcome Party). Check out another village along Long Island's Southern Shore complete with some of the best restaurants, coffee shops, and waterfront. Our favorites: Napper Tandy's (bar), Salt & Barrel (oyster bar and seafood), Verde Kitchen and Cocktails (Mexican fare), The LakeHouse (waterfront dinning), and Costal Kitchen and Daiquiri Bar (fabulous happy hour). Wave hi to Jess' home away from home (South Shore University Hospital) on the way there. Click the "View" button to see how you can make a day in Downtown Bay Shore!
Explore Long Island's Northern Shore and visit Northport's waterfront village. Main Street is lined with boutiques, diners, bars, fine dining, and 18th century homesteads nestled alongside a scenic harbor. Our favorites: Salted. On the Habor, Tim's Shipwreck Diner, Brew Cheese, and Cow Harbor Park!
Take a drive (or a train) to Long Island's Northern Fork till you almost hit the Atlantic Ocean and you'll stumble upon a beautiful waterfront village. Some highlights include: Greenport Harbor Brewing Company, Greenport Creamery, Andy's, Lucharitos, the Carousel, and Fortino's Tavern on the Preston’s dock!
Stop by "Port Jeff" for a great time on the North Shore. You’ll probably pass by Vince’s home away from home, Stony Brook University Hospital. The hospital is the tallest building on Long Island, keep your eyes peeled for our two glass towers. Let your sweet tooth run wild at Roger's Frigate or brunch out at Barito or be wined and dined by Danfords. Afterwards, bounce around the Port Jefferson Village boutiques and walk the promenade at Harborfront Park while the ferries connect Long Island to Bridgeport, Connecticut!
