In 2014, when Vincent and Helena were just 14 years old, they met at the Phoenix airport on their way to a National Junior Honor Society trip with their middle schools—Copper Ridge and Mountainside. Little did they know, that chance encounter would mark the beginning of a love story over a decade in the making. Vincent and Helena both went on to attend Notre Dame Preparatory High School, where they excelled in their own unique ways. Vincent led the varsity football team—many of his teammates will be celebrating with us—to countless victories, and was honored with Notre Dame Prep’s prestigious Scott Bemis Award, recognizing his outstanding achievements both on the field and in the classroom. Helena cultivated deep and lasting friendships (many of whom will also be standing by her side on the big day) and participated in several service trips around the world, dedicating her time to helping those in need. After high school, Vincent and Helena pursued their college dreams at separate universities—Arizona State for Vincent and San Diego State for Helena. Despite the distance, their relationship only grew stronger. Those four years apart reaffirmed what they had always known: they had found their person. Reuniting after graduation was one of the happiest chapters of their journey so far. And now, we arrive at this joyful moment. We are so honored to invite our closest family and friends to celebrate the marriage of Vincent Elrod and Helena Chowscano.
