Gravity of Love

Knowing where to go is difficult. After leaving college, starting our first jobs, and finding our own places to live, we set out on a new journey, separately. Yet, the only destination, was with each other. After orbiting around each other for so long, finally, gravity was bringing us together. This gravity helped us embrace during Vince’s stressful first year of teaching and the heartbreak of Hurricane Harvey. Feliziti was in the midst of discovering her own personal challenges and became diagnosed with anxiety and depression. Living 40 minutes away from each other, living with daily struggles, they used one other to lean on. “Some of my best memories of that year were being exhausted and driving 40 minutes to go and see Feliziti so we can have a nice evening dinner. To not talk about work, but each other. We laughed at misadventures like Feliziti ordering a wedged salad at Red Robin and the waiter coming out with with a brick of lettuce. We consoled ourselves by enjoying each other’s times and space.” -Vince After a year of living apart, Feliziti then realized she did not want to be apart, but rather come together in Selma, Texas. “I remember being SO excited looking for apartments and researching our future home together. We found a perfect spot right in the middle of our jobs. We finally found our safe place, as one. Vince helped me find my voice, encouraged me to implement self-love and self-care in my daily routines, and gave me a limitless amount of love and support. I look back, and I can’t imagine going through that challenging time without him.” (Vince- “Nah. She just wanted me for my cooking.”) When we moved in together, we both decided to help each other grow, keep each other accountable, and become the best versions of ourselves as we both worked through the trials of becoming an “adult” and finding happiness. Today, we are both in our 4th year of teaching music, raising our handsome chihuaua, Kylo, and living each day to the fullest.
