Easy hiking trail up to the top of Palos Verdes. Great view of the entire Las Angeles bay. Free 4 hour parking by the Neptune Fountain @ Malaga Cove Plaza.

Malaga Hills

Famous museum on the side of a mountain, overlooking Los Angeles from the north. $20 parking, but you have to make a (free) reservation before you go.

The Getty

Famous historical Observatory with views of downtown and the Hollywood sign. You can park at the bottom of the hill and walk up, it's not too bad.

Griffith Observatory

This Korean restaurant rules. Aya and I had our first date here. They specialize in soondubu, but everything is good.

Tofu Village

If you're going to be here for a bit, and you don't mind a bit of a drive, Joshua Tree National Park is only a couple of hours away, and you should be here just in time before it starts getting too hot.
