We went here on our first double date with Vincent's sister Yi and future brother-in-law Truman. They have the BEST SANDWICHES!!! - (0700-2000, closed on Sundays) o Coffee (better than Starbucks) o Sandwiches o Pastries o Ice cream o Snacks
Awesome parks, historical streets, shops, restaurants, and more to explore! (As a child, Abigail grew up on the Chancellor Battlefield (next to the Battlefield Country store) and her mom would often take her and her sibling to the downtown for the parks, library, and historical education).
**Abigail's favorite park growing up in Fredericksburg! Cool rocks, hills, and other places to explore -- kids will love:) Kenmore Park is right in the heart of downtown. This space is set apart for the enjoyment of all families. Here you will find tennis courts 🎾 , pickleball courts, and a basketball court. Kenmore Park also sports great children’s play equipment and a toddler play area. Your children will have adventures to write home about as they enjoy the open space and all that is catered towards them. There is a lovely dog park 🐶 , just a stone’s throw away. And, most importantly, Freddy Donuts 🍩 is just down the street.
Abigail's family went here almost every weekend in the summer when she was a kid. They have delicious soft-serve ice cream and are a fun family must while visiting Fredericksburg:) "Independent frozen custard stand still making it the old fashion way: real eggs, sugar, butterfat, etc. with 1940's era ElectroFreeze machines that we still maintain. Family-owned since 1947. National Register for Historic Places."
