Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’re embracing a Formal Garden Party dress code! For Gentlemen, a lightweight suit in a breathable fabric like linen or cotton is perfect for the warmer weather. Lighter colors such as light gray, navy, beige, or pastel tones complement the natural beauty of the garden. Pair it with a formal dress shirt, tie or bow tie, and polished dress shoes. If you prefer a slightly more relaxed approach, a blazer with tailored trousers is also suitable, as long as it remains polished and refined. For Ladies, a formal yet lightweight dress is perfect for a garden wedding. Options include a midi or floor-length gown. Feel free to embrace floral prints, soft pastels, or jewel tones, which are both elegant and fitting for a summer celebration. Please note that the ceremony will be on a well maintained garden lawn and the cocktail hour will be on a combination of the front garden lawn and an outdoor patio veranda.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The Ceremony will begin at 5:30 PM. Please plan to arrive between 4:45 pm and 5:15 pm so you can get settled in and enjoy the pre-ceremony ambiance.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! There are approximately 80 parking spots provided in the Wrightsville Manor parking lot with additional parking in designated parking areas on the property. Please note that there is NO PARKING ON ALLENS LANE nor on surrounding properties. Any vehicle parked on Allens Lane or surrounding properties is subject to towing by City of Wilmington. Guests may leave their vehicle in the parking lot overnight, but they must remove their vehicle no later than 11 am the following morning.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We would love to provide transportation via a shuttle from the Embassy Suites in the downtown area to the venue before the ceremony and then back at the end of the night! If this is something you are interested in please indicate 'yes' at the end of the ceremony RSVP section. If you were planning on staying somewhere else other than downtown, do not fret! We will be offering Uber codes to guests should they be staying in a different area of Wilmington or Wrightsville Beach!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited seating and the intimate nature of our celebration, we’ve carefully curated our guest list. As a result, we are only able to accommodate those specifically listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding, and we can’t wait to share this special day with you!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we’ve decided to host an adults-only celebration to allow our guests to fully relax and enjoy the evening. We hope this gives you the opportunity to have a fun and memorable night!

Question

Is there a room block?

Answer

At this time, we have decided to forgo a room block for guests. However, there are several wonderful hotels and rentals in the area for you to choose from. We recommend booking early to secure the best rates and availability due to it being the busy summer season in nearby Wrightsville Beach. If you need any assistance or recommendations for local accommodations, please feel free to refer to the Travel page or reach out—we’re happy to help!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

The favor of your reply is requested by June 1st for both the welcome party and wedding festivities! We hope you can join us in Wilmington!
