We stumbled upon this spot recently. Craft cocktails in a house that has been converted to a bar/restaurant. The espresso martinis are awesome!
Fried chicken on Sundays only, and worth it! In the basement of a building on main street. They even have decent gumbo here. Great brunch or lunch spot. Warning that you will likely have a wait on Saturday/Sundays.
Wonderful dinner spot - a little upscale with a great patio. Drinks are delicious and well-crafted!
Love the pizza and views here! Try to get a spot on the patio which looks out at the vineyard. Obviously the wine is great too.
#1 favorite winery on 290... the views and lush gardens at this place are picture worthy. We love to grab a bottle of the "Mama Said There'd Be Days Like This" white wine and grab a picnic table. Be sure to stop in Joann's Market.
It hardly feels like this place belongs in the hill country! Not your average "windmill and longhorn in a field" type vibe - it is dark and different. There is an amazing tunnel underground where you can make reservations for a tour or a table. Reservations are required to enter the tunnel (which we think is the coolest part) but there is also a cute tasting room at ground level.
Great patio and day-time wine sipping location
Not too far from the wedding venue (you can see the chapel from the patio here). Great wine, and usually have a solo artist playing some live music.
Each time we are in town, we have at least one night cap here each evening on the patio. They will have live music outside and they feature wines (and beer) from other parts of the world since the area is pretty well-covered by Texas wines
Lobster rolls!
A must do if you aren't from the area. Great views of the Texas Hill Country. The hike up the rock isn't bad at all, but definitely pack some appropriate shoes.
Check out the event calendar to see who will be playing live music! Great outdoor spot if the weather is nice. Iconic place to visit if you haven't before.
