It all started with a cowboy hat... Vince and Suceni met at a family gathering at Suceni's father's house. After hours of dancing and maybe one or two shots of tequila, Suceni's cousin Orbe made a bet with Vince that he would be too hung over to come back to the house the next morning to rejoin the family for breakfast. Vince took the bet and foolishly upped the ante by agreeing to a $100 bet instead of $50 and arriving at 8AM instead of 9AM. Vince also managed to drag Suceni into the bet by saying, "WE would be here at 8AM". To add extra motivation, Orbe gave Vince his cowboy hat and asked him to bring it with him in the morning. By some miracle, Vince was able to make it back to the house on time at 8AM, or at what he thought was 8AM. In an ironic twist of fate, this morning happened to be the day that daylight savings hours sprang forward. Vince's cell phone showed that the time was 8AM but in reality, it was 7AM because Arizona doesn't use daylight savings time for some stupid reason. Vince brought back the hat at 7AM. Suceni arrived at the house shortly afterward. Just a few weeks later, Vince and Suceni officially started dating on April 27, 2022 (they went on a "hangout", not a date, at the end of March). During their first hangout at a restaurant, they realized it was meant to be after they both ordered old fashioned whiskey cocktails and spent 6 hours talking at the restaurant (until they got kicked out). During a trip to Cannon Beach in Oregon, they got engaged on September 21, 2023. They will now be getting married on APRIL 27, 2024!!
