We met during my last year of middle school & Alex's freshman year in High school. We’ve made an awkward eye to eye moment during lunch break when both our schools used to share Cafeterias at the time. I knew one of his close buddies & that buddy knew one of mine. Sometimes my best friends and I would go to the mall on weekends just to hang out with his group of friends. Alex eventually asked me to be his girlfriend months later and made it official on October 14, 2006. He asked me out right in front of a candy store which was really random but I think that’s where my best friends & I used to kick it back then since it was so close to the restrooms/payphones..there's that and also a long hallway space to chill around at LOL. Oh yeah, after he asked me to be his gf, he ran away for idk what reason. He ended up being on the lower level of the Mall OMG right?.. I’d asked him about what happened during that time a few years later & he tells me he was just too excited. I told him “damn I thought you were just pranking me to be your gf!”

It was my parents & sisters last summer night in California before they headed back home to Guam. Alex had set up dinner while he was at work & told me that he had made reservations at the beautiful Mission Inn in Riverside,CA for my parent's wedding anniversary. After the bill was taken care of, Alex turned his body towards my parents and held my hand stopping all of us from getting up of our seats. He got down on one knee & popped the question. I remember being speechless & was just filled with mixed emotions. I didn’t even give him an answer & just wore the ring ahaha he was like "wait... was that a yes?" I nodded my head & said "YES!"
