We met in 2015 at the Ace-Hi Tavern in Golden, CO. We were there for a friend's 21st birthday and happened to start talking. We spent the whole night talking and exchanged numbers. We had our first date soon after at Higher Grounds coffee shop and then walked along Clear Creek. We bonded over white chocolate hot chocolate and Colorado School of Mines.

We got engaged on July 28, 2019 on top of South Table Mountain in Golden, CO. I had been tricked into going on a hike with the promise of brunch afterwards. We spent the whole hike talking and laughing. At the top, we stopped for a break and he shared little stories about Golden with me. As we started to head out to descend, he stopped me and gave the most beautiful speech about spending the rest of our lives together. He proposed with the most beautiful citrine ring. The best surprise was that my sister and her bf had followed us up the mountain to take pictures of the moment, and my dad and brother were waiting at the bottom to have a celebration brunch with us.
