We both attended Monmouth University a few years apart, but because we both were Communication Majors and served on the Hawk TV Executive Board, we ended up first meeting at Halloween Homecoming in 2010. Alyx was an Alumni and Dan was dressed at Dee Snyder from Twisted Sister in the Spirit of Halloween. Their meeting was brief, but Alyx always seemed to remember the guy in the long blond wig.

In April of 2017, we both attended the Hawk TV 21st Anniversary. After getting drinks at Jacks - we came back to the Studio and stayed up until 4:00AM just watching old footage of our years there. Alyx didn't see Dan again until she received two last minute invites from friends to go to the Homecoming Tailgate. Not used to attending Homecoming alone, and not sure where here friends were, Alyx checked Facebook to see what everyone was doing. Dan had made a post on the Alumni Facebook page that he was grilling near the Hawk TV Simulcast and making specialty bratwurst sandwiches for everyone. Once Alyx meet up with the HAWK TV Alumni group, she felt right at home again. Perhaps it was the homemade sandwich or the joyous feeling of being back at Jacks later that day - but things felt different. After we went our separate ways that afternoon to recover from the day, there was a feeling that we had to meet up again. It took several attempts, but our first official date was November 4 at Sushi Cruise and then back to Dan's place to make brownies and watch Stranger Things, once again, until 4:00am. From then on, we've had countless adventures that includes laughter, good music, great food, dancing, and travel.
