We first crossed paths during our training days—he was in Paramedic school, and I was in EMT school. On one Saturday night shift, he noticed how nervous I was and sweetly offered to lend me his stethoscope so I could practice taking blood pressures. By my second ride-along shift, I “accidentally” ended up on his ambulance instead of the one I was assigned to (totally not planned… maybe). We spent a few calls together that night, and the rest is history. 💛🚑
