In 2020, while the world was on pause, both of us happened to be looking for new jobs. That’s how we ended up at Killian Greens Golf Course—two strangers starting fresh during a strange time. We worked together, but things didn’t just click overnight. One of us (guess who?) was pretty shy, so most of the conversations had to be initiated by the other. Slowly but surely, small talk turned into real conversations, and something just started to feel right. Then came the unexpected part: while getting to know each other, we realized we had actually gone to the same elementary school—Leewood K-8 Center—for years. We were even in the same before and after school care programs, but somehow, we never crossed paths. Looking back, it’s clear that God was at work all along—quietly guiding our steps until the timing was just right. After all those almost-encounters over the years, He brought our paths together when we were truly ready. Now we’re starting this new chapter, knowing it’s exactly where we’re meant to be.
