Maid of Honor
Viktoria and Julia met in Fall 2019 at a recruitment event for a UT Austin spirit group called Texas Sunshines. They both found out they lived in the same dorm and walked back together, becoming immediate friends. They hung out at every event after and Julia was assigned as Viktoria’s Little in the Yellow Family (they were each other’s first choice for Big/Little reveal)! Fast forward to 2021, Viktoria and her new boyfriend at the time (Robbie) set up Julia on a blind date with one of Robbie’s best friends, Eric. Eric and Julia are now married! Countless memories and life milestones later, Julia and Viktoria remain best friends. They’ve supported each other through extremely tough times and are always trying to dissect complex societal ironies to make sense of life. Julia is an incredible writer, and an even more incredible person!
Best Man
Eric and Robbie go wayyyy back. They officially met in 2nd grade when Eric’s mom taught their First Communion Class; however, they later found out they were baptized as babies together! They grew closer in middle school, sitting at the same lunch table and walking to the busses after school. In high school they would always team up for class projects and B.S. their way to an A. They’ve been through so much together over the years; it almost seems like they can read each others’ minds. In the summer of 2021, Robbie set Eric up on a blind date with Viktoria’s friend (Julia). Fast forward 4 years and Eric and Julia are now married (Eric owes Robbie forever)! After nearly 20 years, Eric remains one of Robbie’s closest friends.
Bridesmaid
Biology queen and Viktoria’s future sister-in-law! Adrienne loves all things nature and ecology and is always down to go birding! Viktoria met Adrienne a month into dating Robbie and gave Adrienne flower stickers which are still on her laptop to this day! They got closer when Adrienne transferred to UT Austin and got to be roommates after Viktoria graduated grad school. Since Adrienne grew up with 3 brothers and Viktoria grew up an only child, they are both looking forward to finally being sisters!
Groomsman
Robbie and Beau have known each other for over 25 years! They met in 2000 at the age of 1 when Robbie moved next door. Although Beau and his family moved away a few years later, they kept in touch, hanging out and talking on the phone whenever they could. They always had a great time playing airsoft, video games, and sports. While looking for a job after college, Robbie and Beau would meet up at the Bear Creek baseball fields in Houston once a week where Robbie would absolutely smoke Beau’s pitches over the fence. Beau is one of the most hilarious and fun-loving people you will ever meet, and one of Robbie’s closest friends.
Bridesmaid
Introducing budding talk-show host and stand-up comedian, Allison! Allison and Viktoria met in college in Texas Sunshines in 2019. They instantly clicked and it was like they had known each other forever. They’ve been through many life tribulations and frequently experience very similar unfortunate “situations.” Every time they hang out it’s either a deep insightful conversation or an absolute blast, and sometimes it’s even both! One thing about Allison is that she shows up for her friends and makes everyone around her feel included. She’ll also instantly end up with 20 new friends everywhere she goes! She is also an affordable housing finance whiz.
Groomsman
Robbie and Ben met in college at UT in 2018 when Robbie walked Ben home after a party. They didn’t see each other again until the next semester when they instantly clicked. That fall they were inseparable, always partnering up for pool, darts, or beer pong. They ran together throughout college as members of the Texas Running Club (TRC). It was at a TRC banquet where Robbie met Viktoria, and as it turns out Viktoria and Ben were friends from high school. Ben and Robbie share a love for music, having jam sessions throughout college. They continue to play video games together regularly after Ben moved to Washington DC. Ben is one of the smartest, most hardworking, and loyal friends. Viktoria and Ben met freshman year of high school in Mr. Eldridge’s Pre-AP English class. Viktoria’s first impression of Ben was when he introduced himself to the class as a “glass half-empty” pessimist. Despite his outlook on life, Ben was always a kind, generous person and always said hi to Viktoria in the hallway and at cross country practice. Ben and Viktoria became good friends in college and he convinced Viktoria to join Texas Running Club. When Viktoria first met Robbie, she asked Ben for the intel on him, and Ben gave Viktoria all the tea (although the tea was not piping hot because he only had good things to say).
Bridesmaid
Viktoria and Gia met at a high school cross country meet and became immediate friends when “Play That Funky Music” came on the speakers and they both started dancing. They became running buddies at cross country practice, talking every day because they were always the last ones to finish long runs. They stayed besties throughout high school and have been there for each other through life’s ups and downs. Even though life put them in different cities, every time they reconnect it’s like no time has passed! Gia is also an incredibly talented artist and teacher.
Groomsman
Robbie and Dalton met on a trip to Galveston in March 2020 (right before the lockdowns). Dalton also attended Langham Creek High School and met Eric, Ty, and Joel through marching band, but didn’t meet Robbie until later on. Dalton and Eric would often drive to Austin to hang out with Robbie at UT, leading to many inside jokes. He has an amazing sense of humor, and is one of those people who always brings good vibes. Dalton is the best bro a guy could have: always reliable, quick with a laugh, and always a chill time.
Bridesmaid
Few of Viktoria’s college memories exist without Hannah. Viktoria and Hannah were random roommates their sophomore and freshman years of college and quickly became the best of friends! They have so many memories of football games, parties, movie nights, and study sessions. They continue to support each other through their grad school journeys and into adulthood. Even though life put them in different cities, they are always able to pick right back up where they left off! Future lawyer Hannah is also one of the smartest and kindest people on earth.
Groomsman
Derek is one of Robbie’s brothers. Growing up they were always up to something, whether it was legos, playing sports, video games, or making really cringey movies on Windows moviemaker. Derek was a key player in their “street-league” sports teams, although Robbie and Gabe often had to drag him away from his iPad so they would have enough players. He also played piano for their band SSB (Stupid Street Boys). They infamously played Seven Nation Army in their friend’s garage about a hundred times before breaking up. Derek is currently a student at the University of Houston where he studies Computer Science. He loves working on math and coding projects and is a phenomenal chess player.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and Viktoria’s friendship wouldn’t exist without 1) Sarah’s dog Leia, 2) Sarah’s boyfriend Michael, and 3) LBJ School softball! Sarah and Viktoria immediately clicked and bonded over their love of singing, similar life experiences, and Taylor Swift! They are also a killer karaoke duo. Sarah has been there for Viktoria in some of her toughest times and gives the absolute best advice. She also introduced Viktoria to the bridal/wedding industry and they’ve worked together helping other brides have the best day ever. Sarah has the ability to make everyone feel truly seen and is one of the best people you could ask to be friends with.
Groomsman
Gabe is also Robbie’s brother. Like Derek, the three of them grew up playing video games, legos, sports, and making cringey movies together. Gabe is a HUGE sports fan and has very strong opinions about the Yankees and Jets. While working at Five Guys in college, he was known as “the CEO of fries”. He often helped Robbie drag Derek off the piano or away from his iPad so they could play baseball or football on the street. Despite appearing very quiet and reserved, he is one of the most skilled trash-talkers, even flipping his bat when he hits foul balls to taunt the pitcher.
Bridesmaid
Zoe and Viktoria have known each other for over 20 years! They first met when they were toddlers, when Zoe lived across the street from Viktoria’s grandparents’ house. Then a few years later, they met again on the playground in Kindergarten and became best friends. They literally grew up together, going through every phase of life together from elementary to high school. Even though college and adult life put them in different cities, they remain best friends and always pick right back up where they left off as if no time has passed. They are always down to go to concerts and music events together! Zoe is also an incredible concert photographer and a big reason for Viktoria’s love of guitar and blues music.
Groomsman
Robbie has known Joel since middle school, but they grew closer as friends in high school. They’ve been through a lot together, including playing James Bond Tag, running up and down the Berry Center stairs during Covid workouts, and dressing in togas for Joel’s 21st birthday party. They’ve been on many trips together, including Austin, Denton, Galveston, and South Padre. Joel has a wide variety of knowledge over a range of subjects from history to movies. Robbie and Joel both love Irish folk songs and Sea Shanties and are always looking for an excuse to sing together. Joel is a stellar cook, an excellent bartender, and has the most infectious laugh.
Ring Bearer
Sean and Viktoria met in high school, which was a rough time for both of them (don’t even get us started!) Sean always made an effort to say hi to Viktoria in the hallway and backed her during a social justice debate in Theology class, which is just one example of his kind and strong character. Sean and Viktoria reconnected and became good friends in undergrad. They then both independently decided to apply to the same graduate program (LBJ!) and both got in! They decided to be roommates and rented the iconic Avenue H house. They’ve supported each other through hours of homework and life milestones. Robbie and Sean met through Ben while at a party at UT. They instantly bonded over a shared dark sense of humor. A few weeks later they met again at a football game where Sean profusely apologized for the jokes he made that night, but Robbie laughed. While Robbie was job searching after college, he would crash every few weeks at the Avenue H house, eventually moving in for a few months when he got a job in Austin. Viktoria’s worst nightmare came true as Robbie and Sean would watch *hilarious* YouTube videos in the living room every night (like Most Popular Girls in School). Even after Robbie moved out, he would still come over to hang. Sean and Robbie still hang out at least once a month when they go to a bingo hall to play bingo (and people watch).
Groomsman
Robbie became friends with Scott in 9th grade when they both joined the Track and Field team. The first thing Robbie’s mom said when she saw Scott was “that boy needs a burger!” Scott and Robbie grew closer sophomore year as they were among the very few underclassmen to make the varsity track team. Being two scrawny 15 year-olds on a bus full of senior football players, Scott and Robbie always made sure to stick together. Besides running and talking about music, Scott and Robbie spent much of their high school years building sketchy ramps to jump bikes off of. Despite Scott moving out of state, he and Robbie have stayed in touch over the years, making sure to call each other and catch up once a week and hang out in person whenever they’re in town.
Groomsman
Robbie met Ty in 7th grade when Ty moved schools and sat at Robbie’s lunch table. From early on in their friendship, Robbie found what irritated Ty and would push his buttons any chance he got. Ty and Robbie would always debate philosophy, politics, history, and just about anything else, but it was always in good fun. In college whenever Robbie was in town, they would go for runs and just talk about life and dream of the future. Although he tries really hard to present himself as cold and calculating, Ty is one of the most caring, thoughtful, and passionately loyal people. He is very intelligent and has no problem letting you know (no one said he was humble!), but he does genuinely care about all his friends.
