The hobby of the year 2020 for Julianna was mountain biking. She wanted to get out of town and try some new trails. Something had been calling her to visit Bend and there happened to be many bike trails all around town. Her friend, Julia, lived in Bend and also mountain biked. The weekend of June 19th, she made plans to stay with Julia and ride some trails. As she entered Julia's house, known as The Rocca house, one of her roommates was laid out on the floor atop some yoga blocks stretching his back out. This roommate was named Jeremiah. His energy knocked Julianna off balance. She didn't know what it all meant. The beginning of a whole new chapter had begun. While Julianna was there over the weekend, she bought a jar of raw milk from Jeremiah using Venmo to pay him. To get in touch with him again, she got on Venmo and sent Jeremiah one cent with the title, "A penny for your thoughts." She used this as a catalyst to start a conversation on weight training which led to Jeremiah offering her his number to stay in touch. They made plans to meet in the mountains to hike through the forest and camp under the stars. She drove from Tualatin, he from Bend, and they would meet at the Hoodoo parking area. Their first hike was met with an unfortunate placement of a wasp nest right in the trail of which Jeremiah stepped on and a chase pursued. They survived the attack and felt a close bond after the traumatic run in and were forever friends from that moment onward.

They drove around the whole mountain top of which they spent their first moments together getting acquainted. They stopped at the Hoodoo parking lot where they always met up to go camping. He got on his knee and asked her hand in marriage. He even got permission from her Dad beforehand! Of course she said yes and here they are now.
