Overnight Guests & FAQ's

We welcome all guests to stay overnight at the camp! There are plenty of cabins & beds to accommodate all of our family & friends. Please see below for more details.
Question

How do I reserve a cabin/room?

Answer

When you RSVP you will be asked if you plan to stay overnight in a cabin. Please select YES. Melissa will reach out to all overnight guests to assign appropriate cabins/rooms to individuals & families. A $10 fee is required per person / per night.

Question

How much does it cost to stay overnight and how do I pay?

Answer

The facility has asked for a $10 donation per person / per night for all overnight guests. These donations go directly towards campers that need financial assistance to attend the summer camp. HOW TO PAY: Cash Only! Please bring your overnight fees in cash and we will designate one person to collect the overnight fees as you arrive & check-in to your cabin.

Question

When is Check-In / Check-Out?

Answer

CHECK-IN: Sunday @ 11am Overnight guests should check-in at the dining hall to receive room assignments and pay your overnight fee. You may drive your car closer to your cabin to unload but after MUST park your car back in the designated parking area. CHECK-OUT: Monday @4pm All overnight guests are welcome to stay the full day on Monday. Check-Out is at 4:00pm and all guests must be packed and heading out by then.

Question

What is included in the cabins?

Answer

Rooms may include 2-6 bunk beds sleeping 4-12 people per room, however there are plenty of rooms to spread out so that families & couples can have their own private spaces. The bathrooms & showers are located in separate buildings from sleeping cabins. If you choose to stay overnight Melissa will reach out to ensure you are comfortable with the sleeping arrangements for you and your family. You may choose to bring an air mattress for a larger sleeping area to be placed on the floor. The bunk beds can be shifted around but not removed from the room. You can find more photos of the cabins at the camp website: https://www.maineycamp.org/photos

Question

Is there heat & electricity?

Answer

There is electricity (including overhead lights) and limited power outlets in each room. I would recommend bringing power strips & extension chords to accommodate for all your electronic needs. There is NO HEAT! It may be chilly in September. We recommend bringing warm blankets and a small heater to turn on at night. **Heaters must be TURNED OFF during the day and while the cabin is empty. Please be responsible.

Question

What additional items should I pack?

Answer

- Pillow, twin size sheets, extra blankets - Flashlights - Small Heater and/or Fan - Extension Chords, Power Strips - Mirrors (there are no mirrors in the bathrooms) - Lawn Games - Warm Clothes for at night

Question

GUESTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BRING IN OUTSIDE ALCOHOL TO THE RECEPTION ON SUNDAY SEP. 5 BETWEEN 2:30pm & 10:00pm ALL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES MUST BE PURCHASED THROUGH THE BAR ONLY.
