Jordan and Brittany first crossed paths at North Carolina State University back in 2008. They met through mutual friends from Jordan’s high school and NC State’s track team. Their love story began almost 8 years later, when they reconnected through the same group of friends during a trip to the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. The stars seemed to align when Jordan had traveled back to Raleigh for a weekend trip from Washington, D.C. and was in his typical form at the museum -- full of jokes, sarcasm, and wit. Brittany remembers that day vividly, it was Jordan’s energy and intellect that intrigued her. However, the subtle smell of Jordan’s cologne caught her attention. Jordan also remembers Brittany’s bright smile and infectious laugh. Over the next year, they spent time traveling back and forth from Raleigh to D.C. getting to know each other and eventually decided to embark on the long-distance relationship journey and the rest is history!

All the years together collecting memories, laughing, traveling, being foodies, and cultivating a genuine bond led to a trip to Maui, Hawaii in August 2019 to celebrate our 3-year anniversary. During this trip, Jordan had worked with the hotel to surprise Brittany with an upgraded room outfitted with a beautiful bright orange dress and heels. He told her, “get dressed, we are going to dinner.” That evening, the anniversary surprises for Brittany continued when Jordan coordinated a romantic sunset dinner in a private cabana overlooking the ocean. The night ended with Jordan on his knee asking Brittany to spend the rest of her life with him. Full of tears, shock and excitement, Brittany said yes! We cannot wait for this exciting new chapter to begin!
