Ryan met Victoria on July 16th, 2017 - 3 days after his 28th birthday. He was walking the Drake neighborhood with some people from church. He knocked on the door of their last house of the day, and Victoria's mom Betty answered and invited them inside. That's when Ryan saw the most beautiful girl in the world. They talked for awhile and then Ryan prayed. During his prayer, Victoria was very impressed. She saw a man who truly loved the Lord and thought, "that's what I want in a husband! God, can I have him?" One week later, Victoria and her brother got plugged into Ryan's connection group and got to know each other over the next 3 months. Early on Victoria developed feelings for Ryan, but she didn't think he was interested (he was). One Saturday in October, Ryan met with Jordan and confessed his crush on Victoria. Jordan smiled big and gave Ryan the best news ever: Victoria had had a crush on him since they'd met. Ryan couldn't believe it! The next day, Ryan bumped into Victoria after church. He walked her home, and he gave her his leather jacket. They talked and hugged goodbye. Ryan called Betty and told her how he felt, and that he wanted to let Victoria know... Later that day, Ryan got a call from Jordan, who told him that he & Betty had spilled the beans to Victoria - now they both knew how the other felt! So Ryan came over to their house that evening, and he and Victoria went on a walk to Drake, where they had an hour long conversation. They decided to start seeing each other, and started dating the day before Thanksgiving. Over the months God has blessed their relationship through church fellowship, devotionals, family and fun dates. They are excited for this next chapter of life in marriage, and are so blessed by the support of their friends and family. They look forward to cuttin' a rug with y'all September 22nd!
