Question

Is the wedding happening?

Answer

Yep! In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, last year we postponed our wedding date to 10/10/2021. Our guests' health is our top priority, and moving the event to this year ensured that we can all celebrate safely and comfortably. Now that folks are getting vaccinated and things are reopening, we look forward to celebrating together!

Question

Do I need to be vaccinated against COVID-19?

Answer

Yes. Everyone who attends the event must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This includes all guests, vendors, and museum staff. We understand that the situation may make your attendance impossible. We love you and will miss you, but as much as we want to celebrate our marriage with you present, we also want to keep everyone safe. If vaccination is not possible (and we understand it may not be), please RSVP "No" and plan to attend the wedding virtually instead. If you're in the US and not yet vaccinated, there is still plenty of time! Check out vaccines.gov for more information and resources.

Question

Did you still make it official on 10/10/2020?

Answer

Yep! We tied the knot on the original wedding date, but only in a very small ceremony with an officiant and a couple of witnesses. This year's event will still have a ceremony and all that entails--vows, rings, tears of joy. You will not be missing out!

Question

When's the new date? Am I still invited?

Answer

The new date is October 10, 2021. We sent out the new round of invitations so look out for those soon. If you got an invitation for last year's event but didn't get one for this year, you are still invited! Please send us a message so we can have an accurate count for our vendors.

Question

Is my significant other invited?

Answer

You and your significant other should be specifically invited and named on the invitations. If they're not, we probably just forgot to write it! Don't just show up together, though. Send us a message so we can update our guest list and get an accurate count for our vendors.

Question

Are my kids invited?

Answer

We love kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off from child care duties.

Question

I won't be attending in person. Is there a way to watch the ceremony from home?

Answer

Yes, we are planning to have a virtual event. Check out the Schedule tab to add the event to your calendar.

Question

Is the museum going to be open during the wedding?

Answer

Yes! One of the main reasons we picked this venue is that the entire museum is open exclusively to our guests throughout the night. The night's events will have a flexible schedule that has some time allotted for everyone to have a chance to take pictures, roam the galleries, and explore all of the MoMI's brilliant exhibits.
