It was like any other day, I would walk next door to have lunch with my parents and then go back to work. From the time I walked into the office until the time Payton left, I knew my world was about to change. We exchanged quick glances and flirtatious smiles from across the room. Before he left, he reached across everyone to shake my hand and introduce himself. As soon as he was out of the office I asked my mom who he was because I had to know him. I looked for him on Facebook through a mutual friends page and sent him a request. No sooner did I send the request, I had a message. Six days later we had our first date and the rest is history!

On December 10, 2020, Payton and I took a trip to Chattanooga for the weekend before the holidays. We went to the aquarium, Rock City and odd ball spots around town. We spent our time enjoying each others company and making more memories. On December 12, 2020 we went to dinner with Nick and Candice, friends of Payton's, who he served with in the army. After dinner, we went walking towards the walking bridge and came across a Christmas tree. We took some pictures of each other and as we went to leave, Payton said "one more" and dropped to one knee and proposed. Of course I said yes while jumping up and down, almost knocking him down!
