Our story began in the Fall of 2012 after mutual friends introduced us in the library at Stephen F. Austin State University. Joey and I quickly became great friends and we ended up taking a few of the same classes the following semester! He was even placed in the dreaded ''friend zone'' for quite some time. After a few months of climbing his way out, we finally went on our first date and we have been together ever since!

On August 12th, 2017 Joey and I, along with a group of friends, went to the Texas Rangers vs. Houston Astros baseball game in Arlington, Texas. After sitting in a huge traffic jam before the game and waiting for the rain delays to pass during the middle of the game, we finally made it to the 7th inning. I felt a tap on my shoulder and when I turned around there were video cameras, people cheering and Joey down on one knee. I was so surprised that the memory seems blurry! Thankfully, we caught my priceless reaction on video and it gives us a good laugh.
