Question

Kevin's Perspective

Answer

Feeling extremely nervous, the morning started out with trying to get Tori to match with me (no easy feat while being lowkey). Expectedly, she started to question why and thought she didn't look nice in her current outfit. As anyone knows, this is a dangerous game to play before heading out. I responded quickly, “I think you would look better in…” and picked items from her suitcase. Thankfully that worked and onto my next task: Moving the ring (stored in a huge box) from my suitcase to a smaller bag without Tori noticing. When I look back, the day was full of small wins + hurdles because the next one was the car ride. After two hours of winding roads/turns we arrive at our destination, I had to pull myself together to coordinate with the winery staff and the photographer that I hired. Funnily, I thought it was a good idea for the photographer to hide in a nearby bush to take photos of the proposal. Instead I went with his suggested plan to offer a “complimentary photo for the wine tour” before I popped the question. As I slipped away to “the bathroom” for the last time, I had one challenge left. I was met with ginormous ring box again, but this time…into my pocket. Disclaimer, wearing fitted pants and hiding a giant box are not the best elements for surprise. Feeling more nervous since at any second Tori could notice, I played it cool and did my best to conceal what I had in my pocket. Great news - the photographer hit his cue, Tori was surprised, and everything went as planned.
