In June of 2016, at Mother’s Ale House in Wayne, NJ, a short brunette named Victoria walked past a guy and his friends a couple of times. Eventually, the anticipation got to her, and she introduced herself. What she didn’t know was that Connor had already noticed her the very first time she passed by and even mentioned her to his friends. “Hi, I’m Victoria,” she said and that’s where this love story began. Connor replied, “My name’s Connor. I know who you are, Capobianco. You look like trouble.” Victoria laughed and responded in her cute high-pitched voice, “HOWWWW?!” From there, they began talking about how Connor was friends with Victoria’s brother Vinny and how they had other friends in common. That same year, Victoria’s sister Alie went to prom with Connor’s brother. When Victoria found out prom pictures were being taken at Connor’s house, her persistence kicked in, she immediately took off work so she could be there (and see him). This gave Victoria and Connor the chance to spend time together in a more personal setting than the bar scene. Over the next few weeks, Victoria and Connor began running into each other more often. At the time, they may have thought it was coincidence, but looking back, it’s clear they were both hoping for another chance to see one another. Their conversations grew deeper, and weeks later, they shared their first kiss outside of the place where they first met. From that point on, Victoria and Connor were inseparable. Later that night, Connor reached out to make sure Victoria got home safely, which sparked many more messages between them. Soon, they were spending much more time together and even went on their first date at Cups in Clifton. If there’s one thing that everyone knows about Victoria and Connor, it’s that they laugh constantly, maybe even too much and over the last decade, that laughter has only grown fonder. A few months later, the day before Victoria’s birthday, Connor took her to Morton’s Steakhouse, their favorite spot at the time. Over dinner and drinks, they couldn’t stop laughing. Connor remembers thinking how easy it was to be with Victoria, and how much he liked, maybe even loved, being with her in that moment. When he got up to go to the bathroom, he gave himself a pep talk in the mirror and decided it was time to officially ask Victoria to be his girlfriend. Now, after nearly ten years together, Victoria and Connor’s love has only continued to grow. Their relationship still feels new, and they remain focused as a team on living life exactly the way they want to…together. Here’s to forever for Victoria and Connor.
