It all started with a swipe. Victoria and Benjamin first met at the end of 2021 shortly after Ben’s big move from Hastings, Michigan to Western NC. As Ben was starting a new chapter, Victoria was preparing to end one. Benjamin was establishing and rooting himself in the beautiful mountains of WNC while Victoria was getting ready to part ways with them. Despite their divergent paths they continued to get to know each other. Their short social media exchanges turned into movie and dinner dates. It didn't take long for them to realize this was something they each wanted to pursue. Ben had made it clear that he “wasn’t doing the long distance thing” but that is exactly what they did for the first two years of their relationship. Building and fostering a new relationship while living 201 miles away from each other proved to be difficult but it also provided a heightened appreciation for their relationship and time together.
