We have reserved four lovely rooms at the Scranton Seahorse Inn: Seaside Garden, Long Island Mist, Sunlight Serenade, and Ocean Dreams. Each room is $185.00 per night, we have reserved them for Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3. This establishment, as well, is approximately a 5 minute drive from our wedding venue/the beach and a 2 minute drive into the center of town. If you prefer walking it will take you approximately 20-25 mins to walk to our wedding venue and 5-10 mins to walk into town.

As a more economical option, we have reserved 11 rooms at the Comfort Inn in Guilford. There are 8 rooms with 2 double beds, 2 rooms with 1 king bed, and 1 room with 2 king beds available in our wedding block reservation. This establishment is close to the Madison/Guilford line--about a 10 minute drive to our wedding/venue and a 7 minute drive to the Madison Town Center.

Beech Tree Cottages

We have reserved all of the cottages at this charming establishment. Each cottage varies in size and capacity and will be perfect for families or groups traveling together and/or wishing to stay in a house instead of a hotel room. There is also a lovely outdoor common area with fire pits and picnic tables that will enable guests staying here to mingle, bringing their own respective drinks and snacks. It is a 10-15 min walk straight down to the water, if you are walking to our wedding venue it will take you about 20-25 mins. It is a 4-5 minute drive from the center of Madison and a 7-8 minute drive to our wedding venue.

This is the most upscale option to stay in Madison. It is a 2 minute drive from the Madison Country Club and about a 5 minute drive into town.

MetroNorth Harlem line will take you between Grand Central station in New York City, NY and Union Station in New Haven, CT (New Haven is a 20 min drive from Madison). Take advantage of exploring New York City by way of this easy 2 hour train trip.

Shoreline East will take you from New Haven’s Union Station up the shore to Madison.

Amtrak train

Amtrak can take you just about anywhere and is easily accessible between Boston, MA and Old Saybrook, CT (a 20 min drive to Madison). You can take the Amtrak from Old Saybrook or New Haven and explore some of the North East's most famous cities like New York, NY; Boston, MA; Providence, RI; Philadelphia, PA; Baltimore, MD; and Washington, D.C.

Bradley, just north of Hartford, CT, is the closest airport to Madison--approximately an hour and 20 min drive.

The surrounding NYC airports are approximately a two hour drive from Madison (with no traffic). Plan for three hours as there is always traffic around the city. Google for each airport's respective websites.

Logan airport in Boston, MA

Boston's Logan Airport is approximately a two hour and 20 min drive to Madison; plan for Boston traffic to take a bit longer.

Travel Note

Some notes about travel and lodging in the area:

We recommended checking sites like VRBO and/or Airbnb for available housing in the area for the wedding weekend if you are not staying in a nearby hotel. Uber and Lyft are available and common in the area for transportation if you are not driving yourself. There are also a few taxi companies. Note that there is usually a lot of pedestrian traffic on the beach roads near our wedding venue and the speed limit is slower, please drive with caution and respect in our beach community. Street parking is prohibited, but there is plenty of parking at our wedding venue The Madison Beach Club.
