It started with a stapler. Victoria and Sebastian met at the University of North Texas, where they both were in the same university program, with Sebastian working in one of the program's computer labs. What started out as teasing and sass became regular time spent; Victoria found every excuse she could to come regularly visit Sebastian at work. Many trees were sacrificed in the making of this romance. After a night of omelets and Nightmare on Elm St, they've been inseparable!

After moving to Colorado in December of 2020, they were ready to start a new year together in a new state. By March, it was finally warm enough to go on a hike, so they took the Chautauqua Trail in Boulder together. While on the trail, Sebastian stopped to rest. Sebastian expressed how much he loved Victoria, and how grateful he was that she started this new adventure with him. On a beautiful spring day in Colorado, he got down on his knee and pulled out a ring, asking Victoria to join him on many more future adventures. With a gasp, tears, and a YES, they were engaged.
